The City of Lawrenceburg is set to conduct two public meetings aimed at collecting community feedback for its upcoming 2026 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application. The initial meeting is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 22, coinciding with the City Council session. This gathering will provide residents with an opportunity to voice their ideas regarding potential projects that focus on community infrastructure, revitalization efforts, and initiatives related to public health and safety.
Following this, a second meeting will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 5, in the Council Room located on the lower level of City Hall. During this session, attendees will have the chance to review the guidelines associated with the CDBG and discuss eligible projects. Topics of interest will include improvements to water and sewer systems, initiatives aimed at enhancing public health and safety, as well as various community infrastructure and revitalization projects.
Residents and local organizations are encouraged to participate in either of the meetings. Additionally, suggestions can be submitted directly to the City Administrator at Lawrenceburg City Hall, located at 25 Public Square, or through email at [email protected]. Both meeting venues are designed to be accessible for individuals with disabilities, and special accommodations can be arranged by contacting (931) 762-4459. The City of Lawrenceburg is committed to ensuring that its programs and services are inclusive and non-discriminatory.
