The Middle Tennessee District Fair, along with the Lawrenceburg Rotarians, celebrated a noteworthy evening at the Tennessee Association of Fairs Convention held on Saturday, January 18th. The 2024 Fair earned the distinction of First Runner Up in the state’s competitive AA Division, showcasing the hard work and dedication of its team. Additionally, Rotarian Heath Hill was officially installed as the President of the Tennessee Association of Fairs for the year 2025, marking a significant milestone for both him and the organization.
The convention, which took place over three days in Murfreesboro, attracted over 900 volunteers from 57 county and regional fairs across Tennessee. This gathering highlighted the collaborative spirit and commitment of those involved in the state’s fair community. After the awards ceremony concluded, Tad Keaton, the Fair Manager for MTDF, took a moment to engage with the Lawrenceburg representatives. He noted that achieving First Runner Up among 21 fairs in the AA Division was particularly impressive, especially considering the challenges posed by three days of inclement weather during the fair. Keaton expressed his gratitude to everyone present, acknowledging the tireless efforts of all volunteers who contributed to the success of the Middle Tennessee District Fair in 2024.
