On Friday morning, a remarkable event unfolded as members of the Lawrence County Emergency Medical Service successfully assisted in the delivery of a baby boy during an emergency transport. The situation began when sheriff’s deputies called for assistance at the scene of a traffic stop. Upon arrival, the EMS team discovered that a woman in active labor required immediate medical attention.
Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the EMS personnel promptly initiated transport to Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems in Lawrenceburg. However, as they were en route, the baby boy made his entrance into the world. Despite the unexpected circumstances, both the mother and her newborn son arrived at the hospital safely.
