In a recent incident that unfolded in Florence, law enforcement officials successfully apprehended a man following a home invasion that left a resident in a state of fear. The event took place on Larimore Street, where the suspect allegedly broke into a home and threatened the occupant with a firearm. Later in the day, a tip from a concerned citizen led law enforcement to his location, resulting in his capture. Gilchrist has since been taken into custody and is currently held at the Lauderdale County Detention Center.
