Lewis County Residents Establish a “Community Library” Within the Jail Facility

In a commendable initiative, Tyler Sparks has undertaken an Eagle Scout project that aims to serve the Lewis County community by establishing a “Community Library” located at the Lewis County Jail. This thoughtful endeavor has garnered appreciation from county officials, who believe it will provide valuable resources to individuals facing challenges in their lives.

The Community Library currently offers a selection of books alongside canned goods, catering to those who may be in need. The county is eager to foster community involvement in this project, encouraging residents to contribute. If you have non-perishable food items, canned goods, or books that you no longer require, your donations would be greatly welcomed.

Residents are invited to place their contributions in the designated box, and equally encouraged to visit the library to take what they may need for themselves or their families. This initiative not only promotes the spirit of giving but also provides an opportunity for individuals to access essential items, creating a supportive environment for all.
