Last week, the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office collaborated with the U.S. Marshals Service to execute an indictment at a recreational vehicle site located on Henderson Road. This indictment was issued by the Metro Nashville Police Department. During this operation, authorities apprehended thirty-nine-year-old Marc A. Carpenter. He faces serious charges, including three counts of child rape, aggravated sexual battery against a victim under the age of 13, and three counts of attempted aggravated sexual battery involving a victim under the age of 13. The nature of these allegations underscores the gravity of the situation and the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to address such crimes.
