A judge in Limestone County has ruled against granting bond to Juan Hernandez, who is currently facing serious allegations related to the sexual assault of a child under the age of ten. Hernandez was taken into custody last week after the Limestone County Department of Human Resources received a report detailing the alleged abuse of a young child.
During a court session held on Thursday, it was revealed that the victim, a nine-year-old girl, is known to Hernandez. The judge determined that there was sufficient probable cause to proceed with the case, subsequently referring it to a grand jury for further examination.
In addition to the legal proceedings, the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office has indicated that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has been informed about Hernandez’s immigration status. The investigation into this troubling matter is still ongoing, as authorities continue to gather information.
