Lindsey W. Benefield, 92, of Huntsville, AL, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. He was born in Brace, TN, in 1932 to Ferman L. Benefield and Daisy McPherson Benefield. Lindsey was a devoted husband and father, and he served his country in the United States Army.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Charlotte Faye Davis Benefield of 72 years; his children, Dannie Benefield (Faye), Cynthia Hughes, Donna Webster (Steve), and Darryl Benefield; his grandchildren, Steven Webster, Crissy Hamilton, Rachel Wright, Drew Hughes; his great-grandchildren, Danielle Hamilton, Colt Hamilton, Skyler Wright, Braiden Wright, Rosylyn Wright, Henry Hughes; his great-great-grandchildren, Ellie Hamilton and Macy Hamilton; two sisters, Linda Benefield and Jenny Lewis; and two nephews, Randy Smith and Jack Hall.
Lindsey was preceded in death by his father, mother, brothers; Ferman L. Benefield Jr. and Thomas M. Benefield; sister, Kathryn Cornutt; and great-grandson, Bailey Hamilton.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, and the funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home with interment to follow at Kidd Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN with full military honors.
Lindsey will be dearly missed by his family and friends, and his memory will live on in their hearts.
