In a significant development for local emergency services, two fire departments from Lawrence County have been chosen as recipients of grant funding through the 2025 Rescue Squad Grant Program. The Ethridge Volunteer Fire Department and West End Fire & Rescue are among the 95 departments statewide that will benefit from this initiative.
