In Summertown, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office swiftly responded to a report of attempted burglary at People’s Bank late last week. Deputies were called to the scene on February 2nd after the complainant noticed signs of tampering with the ATM. Scratches and bending on a panel indicated that someone had tried to forcefully remove it. The incident was suspected to have taken place between 5:30 PM on February 1st and 7:30 AM on February 2nd. Fortunately, no money was stolen during the attempted burglary.
