Local Rotarian Honored by Rotary International Foundation

In a significant gathering on Friday, May 30th, 2025, the Lawrenceburg Rotary Club took the opportunity to honor one of its most dedicated members, Bill Phillips, for his remarkable contributions to The Rotary Foundation. The event featured the presence of Rotary District Governor Darrell Ailshie and District Foundation Chair Eddie Allred, who together presented Phillips with the esteemed Rotary Foundation Citation for Meritorious Service. This accolade is reserved for Rotarians who have shown exceptional commitment and support to The Rotary Foundation, and it serves as a testament to Phillips’ extensive years of leadership and his steadfast dedication to international service, particularly in Honduras.

In response to the recognition, Phillips, who has previously served as president of the Rotary Club and has held the position of Rotary Foundation chair for many years, expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the honor. He remarked, “The Rotary Foundation changes lives around the world—and being part of that effort has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.”
