The latest data released by the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development reveals positive trends in the state’s job market. In April, all 95 counties in Tennessee reported decreased unemployment rates, with each county recording rates at or below 4.1%.
Williamson County stood out with the lowest unemployment rate in the state at an impressive 2%. Following closely behind were Lawrence, Lewis, and Marshall counties, each reporting a 2.7% unemployment rate. Maury County saw a rate of 2.3%, while Giles and Wayne counties reported rates of 2.6% and 2.8%, respectively.
These figures indicate a promising outlook for Tennessee’s economy, showcasing a widespread improvement in employment opportunities across the state.
