Lois Eliese Sharp, 96, of Florence, passed away on November 8, 2025, at El Reposo Nursing Facility. She was a dedicated homemaker and worked alongside her husband on the farm for 63 years. Known for her Sunday dinners, she created cherished memories for her family. Her grandchildren especially treasured spending Christmas Eve at her home. Lois found joy in playing bingo in the activity room at El Reposo. She will be deeply missed by all, especially her loving family.
Survivors include her son Coleman Ronald Sharp, daughter Brenda Abernathy (Donnie), sister Bonnie Littrell, grandchildren Kristy Sharp Gargis, Christopher Sharp (Sarah), Kenny Abernathy, and Cortney Hunter (Greg), as well as 5 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband Kennis Coleman Sharp, parents Wylie Edward Hammonds and Thellie Mae McCafferty Hammonds, daughter Debra Diane Behel, granddaughter Carla Daphne Behel, daughter-in-law Sarah June Sharp, and brother-in-law Billy Littrell.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 2:00pm at Pettus Cemetery, with Bro. Coy Hallmark officiating. Burial will follow at Pettus Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Kenny Abernathy, Dillon Gargis, Christopher Sharp, Kaleb Jones, Greg Hunter, and Matthew Burbank.
The family expresses gratitude to the entire staff at El Reposo Nursing Facility for the care provided to their mother and grandmother. Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
