In a significant development, James Mark Eddy, a 54-year-old resident of Loretto, was taken into custody on Tuesday as part of an undercover operation focused on child exploitation. This investigation was spearheaded by the Limestone County Sheriff’s Department in Alabama. Authorities report that Eddy engaged in communication with an investigator posing as a male juvenile, during which he allegedly sent sexually explicit content and sought similar material in return. As a result of these actions, Eddy now faces serious charges, including the transmission of material to a minor via computer and the electronic solicitation of a child.
