On Thursday, law enforcement officials from the Lauderdale County Drug Task Force carried out a search warrant at a residence located on Crown Street, leading to the apprehension of 58-year-old Robert Taylor Russell. The operation uncovered a significant quantity of illegal substances, including around 57 grams of methamphetamine, along with marijuana, Suboxone, and cocaine. In addition to the drugs, officers also confiscated scales, meth pipes, and various items associated with drug use.
As a result of the findings during the search, Russell now faces multiple charges. These include trafficking methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. The operation underscores the ongoing efforts of local authorities to combat drug-related activities in the community.
