On March 8, 2025, a significant incident unfolded in Lauderdale County when deputies and investigators were called to respond to a structure fire on County Road 5, following a request from the Central Volunteer Fire Department. Upon their arrival, firefighters informed the deputies that they had observed a man, later identified as Bradley Christopher Harvey, at the fire scene. This individual reportedly fled into the nearby woods just as the emergency responders arrived.
In the course of their investigation, deputies spotted a man who matched the description of Harvey near the tree line and initiated a foot chase. The pursuit concluded with the apprehension of Bradley Harvey, who was subsequently taken into custody for questioning. Eyewitness accounts revealed that earlier that same day, Harvey had allegedly threatened a family member, expressing intentions to set his house ablaze.
As a result of the investigation, Bradley Christopher Harvey was arrested and now faces multiple charges, including First-Degree Arson, Attempting to Elude Law Enforcement, and Resisting Arrest. He is currently being held without bond at the Lauderdale County Detention Center, where he awaits a hearing under Aniah’s Law.
