Maple Louise Stinnett Parham (pronounced Par-arm, the h is silent)) gained her wings on May 18, 2024 and went home to be with the Lord. Maple was born in Pulaski, TN to the late Joe Stinnett and Bobbie Brown Stinnett. At an early age, she accepted Christ and joined Rocky Mt. Presbyterian Church in Pulaski, TN.
Maple graduated from Bridgeforth High School in 1955 at the age of 16. Immediately following graduation, she started working at Donalson Hospital in Fayetteville, TN as a nurse’s aide. It was at Donalson that she developed a love for nursing. Eager to fulfill her dream to become a nurse, she received a LPN degree from Riverside School of Nursing, a RN degree from
Tennessee A&I State University (presently Tennessee State University) and a Nurse Practitioner degree from Meharry Medical College. She continued her unwavering commitment of healing and helping others by her 30+ years of service at Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center.
Maple was a devoted member of Pilgrim Emanuel Baptist Church in Nashville, TN where she taught adult and youth Sunday school for years.
Maple is survived by sisters Josephine Keith of Fayetteville, TN,
Emma Harney, and Bessie (Alvin) Matthews of Pulaski, TN and brother
Robert (Angelika) Stinnett of Sindelfingen, Germany; nieces Jessica Keith, Robin Stinnett and Britney Matthews; nephews Kevin (Renee) Harney and Brandon Matthews. 10 great nieces and nephews, 1 great great nephew. Special friends Carrie Murray, Martha Stinnett (Germany), Joan Bostic, and other relatives, friends from work, the community and church.
Visitation for Maple Louise Stinnett Parham will be held on Sunday, May 26, 2024 from 2:30pm until 3:15pm at Jordan Funeral Home, 327 Mill Street,
Pulaski, Tennessee.
Graveside service on Sunday, May 26, 2024 will begin at 3:30pm in Maplewood Cemetery, 500 Ballentine Street, Pulaski, Tennessee.
