Marcella Pettus Jones, 91, of Killen, passed away on April 10, 2025, at El Reposo Nursing Facility. She was a retired CNA at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home and a devoted member of Sweet Gum Primitive Baptist Church, as well as an attendee of Second Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
Marcella is survived by her sons Randy Jones (Sharon), Ronnie Jones (Tolanda), Marty Jones (Kim), daughters Karen Morrow (Tony), Tammy Inman (Stephen), sister Millinea Garner, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hubert Bennett Jones, son Dennis Wayne Jones, parents John Taylor Pettus & Georgia Davis Pettus, brothers Britton Pettus, Eugene Pettus, Herlon Pettus, James Pettus, Veron Pettus, and sister Frances Adkins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm, at Greenhill Funeral Homes, followed by the funeral service at 3:00 pm, in the funeral home chapel, with Elder Gary Smith officiating. Burial will take place at Greenhill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Chad Jones, Shane Jones, Dr. Charlie Morrow, Scott Jones, Randall Talley, Matt South, and Chris Behel.
The family extends a special thanks to the nurses & staff at El Reposo Nursing Facility for their love and care.
