Mary Elizabeth “Betsy” Bledsoe, a beloved and dedicated professional, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2025, in Columbia, TN. Born on May 22, 1964, in Okinawa, Japan, Betsy lived a vibrant 60 years, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, integrity, and care for those around her.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 22nd, 2025 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory. The memorial service will follow at 1:00pm on Thursday, May 22nd, 2025 at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Lung Association.
Betsy was employed by Home Depot as a Merchandizing Associate on the MET team. Her career was marked by exceptional leadership and analytical skills across various roles in business and customer service. Known for her sharp mind, collaborative nature, and commitment to helping others succeed, Betsy’s professional achievements were matched only by her personal warmth.
Betsy is predeceased by her parents Col. (Ret) James Hugh Bledsoe and Pencie Anne (Metz) Bledsoe, and sister, Christina Marie Bledsoe. She is survived by her sister Teresa; brother James and his wife Sherie; brother Thomas and his wife Cynthia; sister Laura Harris and her husband Doug; nieces and nephews, Arlo, Zoe, Megan, James III, Tyler Jack, Zachary, Kenneth and Pencie along with a wide circle of friends and coworkers who will miss her dearly.
Betsy will be remembered for her generous spirit, her kindness, and her ability to inspire others, leaving a lasting impact on colleagues, friends, and family alike. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
