Maury County Commission Sets Special Meeting for June 30 to Discuss Budget Amendments

The Maury County Commission is set to convene for a special meeting on Monday, June 30, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. This gathering will take place in the Tom Primm Commission Room and will be dedicated to discussing a series of resolutions aimed at amending various budgets for the fiscal year 2024–2025.

On the agenda, there are fourteen resolutions included in the consent agenda, the majority of which have been put forth by Budget Director Kathey Grodi. These proposed amendments will impact a diverse array of county funds, which encompass the following:

– County General Fund
– Drug Fund
– Parks & Recreation Fund
– Adequate Facilities Fund
– Archive Capital Fund
– County Highway and Public Works Fund
– School General Purpose Budget
– School Food Service Budget
– Debt Service Fund, which is sponsored by Commissioner Tommy Wolaver
– County General Capital Projects
– County Capital Fund
– Solid Waste Fund
– Central Maintenance Budget
– Self-Insured Fund

Additionally, the agenda will feature a public comment period, allowing residents to voice their opinions on any of the items listed. Individuals interested in speaking must fill out a public forum form, which will be available for completion in person just before the meeting begins.

Beyond the June 30 meeting, several other committee meetings have been scheduled. The Health and Environment Committee, along with the Building Committee, will gather on July 7 at 4:30 p.m. This will be followed by another special meeting of the Commission. Furthermore, the Safety and Administration Committees are slated to meet on July 8 at 4:30 p.m. All of these meetings will also take place in the Tom Primm Commission Room.
