Over the weekend, the dedicated members of Maury County Fire and Rescue were actively engaged in tackling two distinct vehicle fires. The first incident occurred early Saturday morning at approximately 1:22 AM, when emergency units were dispatched to Howard Bridge Road following reports of a vehicle engulfed in flames. Upon their arrival, firefighters discovered the vehicle completely consumed by fire, with no occupants present at the scene. The team worked swiftly to extinguish the blaze, ensuring that the situation was brought under control without further incident.
The following day, on Sunday, responders were called to Lookout Drive due to a report of a lightning strike that had impacted both a tree and a vehicle. The strike resulted in a small fire, but thanks to the prompt action of the fire crews, they were able to extinguish the flames quickly. Shortly after this incident, the team was dispatched to another call regarding a lightning strike on Carters Creek Pike, demonstrating their readiness to respond to emergencies as they arise.
