In the early hours of December 31, at precisely 12:57 AM, the Maury County Fire Department was alerted to a fire at a residence located on Canaan Road. Upon their arrival, firefighters discovered that the blaze had originated in the attic, with flames visibly erupting through the roof.
Thanks to a swift and effective offensive strategy, the fire was contained, preventing extensive damage to the majority of the home. However, the family residing there will need to find temporary accommodations while repairs are undertaken. In light of their situation, assistance from the Red Cross has been requested to support the displaced family. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries resulting from the incident.
The response team comprised several units, including Engine 21, Tankers 22, 30, and 32, Brush 32, Deputy 20, along with the Mount Pleasant Fire Department’s Engine 82, which provided automatic aid during the emergency.
