Maury County Responds to Vehicle and Brush Fire Incident

On Tuesday, November 18, at approximately 12:40 PM, units from the Maury County Fire Department were called to respond to a vehicle fire along Cole Bend Road, which was also linked to a brush fire in the vicinity. The responding teams included Brush 21, Engine 30, Squad 32, Tanker 21, and OPS 20.

Upon their arrival at the scene, firefighters discovered that a fallen tree had come into contact with power lines, which ignited a brush fire that subsequently spread to a nearby vehicle. The situation was first noted by technicians from Duck River Electric, who were on-site to address a power outage. They spotted the flames and promptly alerted emergency services by dialing 911.

Fortunately, the fire was successfully contained to an area of less than one acre and involved only a single vehicle. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries resulting from the incident.
