In a recent development reported by FOX17, a deputy from the Maury County Sheriff’s Office has been apprehended and is facing multiple charges, including Reckless Driving, Driving Under the Influence, and Felony Evading Arrest. The incident unfolded when the Columbia Police Department took 39-year-old Sgt. Randy Allen Marrisett into custody on Wednesday, April 30th.
Following his arrest, Marrisett was processed at the Maury County Jail, where he was officially booked at 11:25 AM. Remarkably, he was released just over an hour later, at 12:55 PM, after posting his own recognizance. The legal proceedings for Marrisett are set to take place in General Sessions Court, where he will appear to address the three charges on Monday, June 2nd, at 2:00 PM.
