A newly constructed fire station has officially commenced operations, aimed at enhancing fire protection and emergency services for the Muscle Shoals region, particularly as the Southeast area continues to grow. The facility, which represents an investment of $3.15 million, is strategically located at the intersection of Old Alabama Highway 20 and Gargis Lane. According to Fire Chief Shawn Malone, the station opened its doors to the public at 4 p.m. on Thursday. This development is expected to significantly improve the capabilities of the fire department, enabling firefighters to provide more effective assistance to the community and access a greater array of resources necessary for their vital work.
