Nettie Bonner Brown

Nettie Bonner Brown, 93, of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025. Born on July 24, 1932, in Lawrence County, TN, Nettie’s life was a testament to her strength, resilience, and the warmth of her spirit.

Nettie was the beloved daughter of Horace and Fannie Steadman McCarter. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Reverend W. Glenn Bonner, and her second husband, Frank Brown. Nettie’s early years in Lawrence County laid the foundation for a life filled with love and service, embodying the values instilled by her parents and husbands.

A devoted mother and homemaker, Nettie’s life was a reflection of her Christian faith, which she lived out as an active member of Mars Hill United Methodist Church. Her faith guided her through life’s challenges and triumphs, and she was a source of light and guidance for all who knew her.

Nettie’s legacy is carried on by her loving family, including her daughters, Charlotte Bonner Terry (Sam) and Anita Bonner Dietz, as well as her three grandchildren and great-grandson, who brought her immeasurable joy.

An avid fisherwoman, Nettie found peace and solace by the water, and her flower gardens were a source of pride and beauty, reflecting her love for God’s creation.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, with visitation and funeral services scheduled for December 30, 2025. The family suggests memorials be made to Mars Hill United Methodist Church.

Nettie’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
