During its regular meeting on Friday, November 21, 2025, the Lawrenceburg Rotary Club honored two of its esteemed members with one of the most prestigious accolades bestowed by Rotary International. Kane Watkins and Chris Fann were celebrated as Paul Harris Fellows, a recognition that highlights their unwavering dedication to the principles of Rotary and their significant contributions to The Rotary Foundation’s global humanitarian efforts.
The Paul Harris Fellow distinction is granted to individuals who either make direct contributions or have contributions made in their name to The Rotary Foundation. These funds play a crucial role in supporting Rotary’s extensive missions around the globe, which encompass initiatives such as eradicating polio, providing access to clean water, preventing diseases, promoting literacy, and fostering community development.
Leadership within the club took a moment to express their gratitude for the remarkable commitment demonstrated by both Watkins and Fann. Their efforts not only enhance the club’s local initiatives but also amplify Rotary’s influence on a global scale. The awards were presented by Paul Wayne, the Club Foundation Chair, who underscored the importance of their contributions.
The Lawrenceburg Rotary Club, which has been active since its founding in 1947, meets weekly and remains dedicated to service, leadership, and community involvement. The club is deeply engaged in various local projects while also participating in broader initiatives organized by Rotary International.
