The Mount Pleasant Police and Fire Departments, along with the City of Mount Pleasant, have issued a notice to the community regarding the recent installation of traffic signals at the intersection of Main Street, Hay Long Avenue, and Bluegrass Avenue. At present, these traffic lights are in a flashing mode, as they await programming by the Tennessee Department of Transportation, which is scheduled to take place within the next week. In the interim, officials recommend that drivers approach this intersection as if it were a four-way stop to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow.
