On May 5th, a routine traffic stop conducted by an officer from the Florence Police Department near the intersection of Huntsville Road and Florence Boulevard led to a significant incident. The officer initiated the stop due to a traffic violation, and upon approaching the vehicle, identified the driver as Seth Kimbrough, a 37-year-old off-duty police officer from Killen.
During the interaction, the Florence officer noted several indicators suggesting that Kimbrough was impaired. As a result, the officer proceeded to administer a series of tests, which ultimately led to Kimbrough’s arrest on charges of Driving Under the Influence (DUI). Following his arrest, Kimbrough was transported to the Lauderdale County Detention Center. He has since been released after posting bond. It is important to note that Kimbrough is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
