One Woman Injured and Two Men Killed in Lauderdale County Shooting

In the early hours of April 15, 2025, at approximately 3:20 AM, law enforcement officials from the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a suspicious person in the Underwood/Petersville area, specifically on Ingram Street. Upon their arrival, deputies encountered a woman who had sustained a gunshot wound.

The investigation revealed that prior to her injury, the woman had witnessed a man shoot another individual and then assault a second man at a residence located on Sylvan Street. As she attempted to seek help and left the scene, the suspect pursued her and shot her once. Tragically, when deputies arrived at the Sylvan Street home, they discovered two men who had succumbed to gunshot wounds.

Further inquiries by the Sheriff’s Office investigators determined that the suspect had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Additionally, it was confirmed that one of the deceased men had also died from a single gunshot wound. The woman, who was injured but in stable condition, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation into this incident remains active as authorities continue to gather information.
