Patsy Sue Mattox, 78, of Loretto, TN, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025, at her home after a prolonged illness. She was a homemaker and a devoted member of the Baptist faith. Patsy’s funeral service will be held at Loretto Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 1:00 pm, with David Adams and Van Henry Vansandt officiating. She will be laid to rest in Bishop Chapel Cemetery following the service. Visitation will take place from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on the same day at Loretto Memorial Chapel.
Patsy is survived by her sons: Jerry Paul Mattox Jr., Terry Grant Mattox (Jana), Jody Mattox (Dana), and Jamie Mattox (Sherri); four grandchildren: Brooklyn, Tyler, Chance, and Ridge; and four great-grandchildren: Layton, Jagger, James, and Jackson. She is also survived by her sister, Linda Turner of Clifton, TN, and several nieces and nephews.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Paul Mattox Sr., and her parents, Verda and Virginia Campbell Taylor. The family would like to extend their gratitude to caregivers Kimberly Holt and Angela Richardson, and a special thanks to Lori Ashley.
