On Thursday evening, a woman was involved in a collision with a vehicle while participating in the Florence Christmas Parade, as reported by Shoals Insider. The incident occurred at approximately 7:29 p.m. along the designated parade route, prompting a swift response from officers of the Florence Police Department.
According to FPD spokesperson Josh Meza, the adult female victim suffered injuries to her leg but remained conscious and was able to communicate with emergency personnel at the scene. Given the seriousness of her injuries, she was subsequently airlifted to Huntsville Hospital for more comprehensive medical care. At this time, the full extent of her injuries has not been disclosed.
