The Perry County School System has made adjustments to its calendar for the 2024-25 academic year in response to recent adverse weather conditions. Originally, students were slated to have days off on March 10 and May 21 for staff development purposes. However, school officials have now decided that students will be required to attend classes on those dates. This decision aims to compensate for the instructional time lost as a result of the weather disruptions. By incorporating these additional days into the school calendar, the district seeks to ensure that students receive the necessary educational hours that were affected by the recent weather events.
