Propane Tanker Overturns in Lawrenceburg

On December 2nd at 9:25 AM, emergency responders from Lawrence County Fire Rescue, Lawrence County Emergency Management, and the Lawrenceburg Fire Department were actively engaged at the site of an overturned propane tanker located on Kelso Road. The tanker, which was fully loaded, posed a significant risk; however, personnel successfully addressed a liquid propane leak along with a minor spill involving diesel fuel and oil.

Fortunately, the situation has been stabilized, and authorities have determined that there is no immediate need for evacuation in the surrounding area. Emergency crews will continue to monitor the scene until the tanker is safely uprighted. In the meantime, traffic on Kelso Road has been halted between Highway 64 West and Grandaddy Road, with no specified reopening time as of yet.
