The Pulaski Fire Department has published its activity report for August 2025, detailing the various calls and services that firefighters managed throughout the month. Notably, the report indicates that there were no incidents involving structure fires or grass fires during this period. Firefighters responded to a total of five calls related to fire alarms, which included false alarms, as well as one call concerning a gas leak and another related to a motor vehicle accident.
In addition to these emergency responses, the department provided assistance to a citizen or agency, installed three smoke alarms, and addressed one public service request. The report also highlights two training sessions conducted by the department, along with two emergency medical service assists for landing zones. Firefighters were on standby for three events and dealt with one situation involving downed power lines that posed a fire risk.
Interestingly, the report did not mention any weather-related incidents, carbon monoxide alarms, or cases of illegal burning. Beyond their emergency response duties, the firefighters engaged in preplanning inspections, which were temporarily replaced this month by hydrant flow testing to meet ISO standards. So far, approximately 300 hydrants have undergone testing, demonstrating the department’s commitment to maintaining safety and preparedness in the community.
