On Wednesday afternoon, officers from the Pulaski Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the vicinity of McGrew and Alexander streets. Upon their arrival at the scene, they discovered a 34-year-old male who had sustained a gunshot wound. Emergency medical personnel from Giles County provided immediate treatment to the victim, whose injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening.
Following the initial response, investigators were able to track down the alleged shooter, identified as 48-year-old Marcus Orlando Williams. He was located at a residence on Brown Drive, where he was subsequently taken into custody. Williams now faces multiple charges, including attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, possession of a firearm by a felon, as well as charges for evading and resisting arrest. He is currently being held at the Giles County Jail without the possibility of bond while awaiting his court appearance.
The investigation into the incident remains active, and authorities have indicated that further arrests may occur as the case develops.
