Pulaski Recognized with the Tennessee Municipal League’s 2025 Small City Progress Award

The City of Pulaski has garnered notable acclaim across the state for its impressive advancements in growth and community development, having been honored with the esteemed 2025 Small City Progress Award from the Tennessee Municipal League (TML). This recognition underscores Pulaski’s commitment to improving infrastructure, enhancing public safety, and elevating the overall quality of life for its residents.

Among the significant upgrades is a revitalized downtown area, which now boasts new sidewalks, curbs, and modernized water lines. The city has also introduced the popular seasonal event known as “Skating on the Square,” which has successfully drawn families to the area and provided a boost to local businesses.

In addition to these improvements, recreational facilities have seen considerable expansion. Magazine Road Park now features new tennis and pickleball courts, while a collaborative effort with UT Southern has led to the creation of a splash park, effectively replacing the city’s outdated swimming pool.

To enhance public safety, Pulaski has implemented several measures, including the installation of license-plate reading cameras at key intersections and the upgrading of traffic signals to include pedestrian alerts, all aimed at improving safety on the streets.

Furthermore, the city has successfully secured over $2 million in grants dedicated to water infrastructure enhancements. Currently, Pulaski is in the process of constructing a $30 million campus for the Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT), which is expected to significantly contribute to economic development and workforce training in the region.

City officials proudly accepted the award on August 5 during the TML Conference held in Chattanooga, marking a significant milestone in the community’s ongoing journey of progress and development.
