Randall “Randy” Butler Roller, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Maury Regional Hospital. Born on July 22, 1962, Randy lived a life filled with passion and zest. He cherished his upbringing in Sumac and his father’s shoe shop, and his love for his family and friends was evident in all his endeavors.
Randy’s journey led him to Beech Hill School and later to Giles County High School, where he graduated in 1980 and met the love of his life, Melissa Felker Roller. He pursued his accounting degree with dedication, but he always considered his daughter Elizabeth to be his greatest achievement.
Throughout his life, Randy pursued various interests, from Civil War reenactments to playing live music and training Labrador Retrievers. He was a devoted family historian and a man of faith, dedicating his time to the church and bringing joy to residents of local nursing homes.
Randy is survived by his loving wife Melissa, daughter Elizabeth, sister Cindy, brother-in-law Steve, and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and cherished friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, followed by a funeral and burial at Maplewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to various charitable organizations.
Randy’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love and kindness will endure. Carr & Erwin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
