Reba Kathleen Davenport, a beloved member of the Lawrence County community, passed away on May 20th, 2025, at the age of 95. She was a devoted homemaker, a cherished member of Unity Baptist Church, and a successful farmer alongside her husband, Ernest Fred Davenport, for 67 years.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Davenport, her son, Jerry Davenport, her parents, Oscar J and Lorene Bates Benefield, three sisters, Betty Bryant, Nell Bryant, and Jane Davenport, and a brother, Oscar Andy Benefield.

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Pam) Davenport, and daughter-in-law, Sandy Davenport. Kathleen is also survived by four brothers, Mack (Mary) Benefield, Jack (Merriss) Benefield, Ed Benefield, and Ronnie (Cindy) Benefield, a sister, Annie Benefield, four grandchildren, Mandy (Cassius) Hayes, Ross (Lizzy) Davenport, Victoria (Jarrod) Jacobs, and Flint Webb, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Kathleen was blessed with the love and care of friends and caregivers, including Sherry Keeton, Patsy Keeton, Olivia Williams, Glenda Cox, and Molly Shaffer with Compassus. She also leaves behind her faithful and loving friend, Ginny Laws, who will miss her dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time, and arrangements are being handled by Williams Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Unity Baptist Mission Fund.

Reba Kathleen Davenport will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
