In a heartwarming event, the Children’s Emergency Care Alliance of Tennessee recently held their annual Star of Life Awards ceremony to honor EMS and emergency first responders for their exceptional lifesaving efforts for both adult and pediatric patients. This special ceremony not only recognizes the dedication of EMS personnel across Tennessee but also reunites them with the patients whose lives they saved, allowing the grateful individuals to publicly express their gratitude to the teams responsible for their survival.
The 2024 ceremony took place in Lebanon and featured several local winners, including Maury Regional Medical Center EMS and Maury County Fire Department from Region 6. Additionally, the Project Adam Heart Hero Award was presented to a deserving group consisting of Leoma Elementary School, Lawrenceburg Fire Department, Lawrenceburg County E-911, Air Evac Lifeteam 110, Lawrence County Fire & Rescue, and Lawrence County EMS.
Among the standout winners was the Henryville Fire Department, which received the prestigious State Winner Award. This recognition also extended to Lawrenceburg Utility System, Lawrenceburg Fire Department, Ethridge Fire Department, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department/Constables, Lawrence County EMA, and Lawrence County Fire & Rescue for their outstanding contributions to emergency care and response in the region.
