Regina Kay “Gina” Chandler Pitt, 59, of Hillsboro, AL, passed away on December 6, 2025, at UAB Medical West in Bessemer, AL. Gina was a dedicated Medical Assistant at Med-Plus and for Dr. Timothy Ashley Family Practice, with over 30 years of service in the medical field. She was a devout member of the Church of Christ faith and had a passion for travel, boating, and camping.
Gina’s family, including her husband Jerome “Bo” Pitt, her mother Wanda Melton Chandler, her son Chandler Kelley, and her daughters Ashley Pitt and Miranda Pitt Sutton, were the light of her life. She adored her grandchildren, Raelynn and Braxton, and cherished her special aunt, Hilda Comer. Gina’s best friend, Katina Waller, held a special place in her heart.
She is survived by her husband, mother, children, brother, sisters, grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, and niece. Gina was preceded in death by her father, Danny Armon Chandler, and her nephew, Daniel Clemmons.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Lone Cedar Church of Christ, followed by a funeral service officiated by Bro. Tim Grigsby and Dr. Tim Ashley. Gina will be laid to rest at Pitt Family Cemetery in Hillsboro, AL.
The family extends their gratitude to the UAB doctors and nurses, Centerwell Home Health nurses, sisters-in-law, Aunt Hilda Comer, and Dr. Tim Ashley, Sarah, and Stacy for their exceptional care and support.
