Robert Thomas James, Sr., 88, of Rogersville, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at his residence. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, June James; children, Kim Cochran (Barry) and Rob James (Joy); grandchildren, Ben Cochran, Michelle Allen (Riley), David Cochran, and Juli Anne Borne (Zach); great-grandchild, Merit James Borne; siblings, EW James, Larry James (Kathy), Gary James, Melba Waldrep (Dexter), Debbie Keenum (Danny), and Toby James; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 11 AM to 1 PM at Elkins East Chapel, followed by a funeral service at 1 PM in the chapel with Scotty Smith officiating. Burial will take place at Harvey Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ben Cochran, David Cochran, Riley Allen, Zach Borne, David Ezekiel, and Petey Grisham.
