Roger Don Rose, 80, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, TN. Born on June 28, 1945, Don was a cherished member of Rock Springs Baptist Church and found great joy in attending services. He had a passion for Braves baseball, all Vanderbilt sports, and basketball games, as well as indulging in old reruns. Don took pride in meticulously tending to his lawn and was known for the impeccable finish he achieved.
Raised on a dairy farm in the Campbellsville Community, Don graduated from Campbellsville High School in 1964 and maintained close relationships with his beloved classmates. He briefly served in the U.S Navy before his health intervened, and he received an honorable discharge. Don adored his family, particularly his nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, Bedford Forrest Rose and Pearl Thurman Rose, and his brother-in-law, Harold Pete Watson. He is survived by his brothers Calvin and Janet Rose, Stanley and Vivian Rose, sister Linda Rose Watson, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10am-1pm on Monday, September 1, 2025, at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home, with Funeral Services following at 1pm. Interment will take place in Rose Hill Cemetery. Carr and Erwin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Don will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
