On Thursday evening, members from the Lawrenceburg, Pulaski, and Pulaski Evening Rotary Clubs gathered at the Lawrenceburg Golf and Country Club for a unique Multi-Club Social event. The highlight of the evening was a presentation by Chris Williams, the Governor of Rotary District 6760. His engaging program revolved around three essential questions that resonate deeply within the Rotary community: What qualities define a good Rotarian? What characteristics contribute to a successful Rotary Club? And how can we simplify the process for service-oriented individuals to join Rotary?
With his signature blend of humor and straightforwardness, Governor Williams encouraged attendees to take proactive steps in their communities, emphasizing the importance of visibility and engagement in attracting new members. He pointed out that active participation, impactful service initiatives, and strong camaraderie are fundamental to the vitality of any Rotary Club. In his remarks, Williams celebrated the recent achievement of District 6760, which recorded the highest positive net membership growth in Zone 31. This success, he explained, is a testament to the clubs’ willingness to innovate, adapt, and refocus on Rotary’s foundational principle of “Service Above Self.”
The event served as a valuable platform for Rotarians from southern Middle Tennessee to connect, exchange ideas, and reinforce relationships among neighboring clubs. The collaborative spirit of the evening highlighted Rotary’s philosophy that collective efforts can lead to a more significant impact within the community. For those interested in participating, the Lawrenceburg Rotary Club holds its meetings every Friday at noon at Lawrenceburg Rotary Park. As part of a global network, Rotary International boasts over 1.2 million members dedicated to humanitarian efforts, ethical leadership, and fostering goodwill and peace around the world.
