Ruth Crews Pilkinton, a beloved matriarch and pillar of love and faith, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025, at the age of 96 in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Born on November 14, 1928, Ruth dedicated her life to her family, her faith, and her community. She was preceded in death by her parents, Evans and Beulah Houser Crews, her husband, James Boyd Pilkinton, and her five sisters. Ruth is survived by her devoted son, Barry Pilkinton, and caring daughter, Joni Franks, along with four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Her legacy of love and faith lives on in the hearts of her family and friends. Ruth’s unwavering Christian faith and her nurturing nature will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to shine brightly. Funeral services will be held at Neal Funeral Home on November 1, 2025, with interment at John Lay Cemetery in Ethridge, TN. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society. Ruth’s family takes comfort in knowing that she has found eternal peace and rest in the loving embrace of her Creator.
