Sadie Ruth Smith Malone, age 94, of Anderson, AL, passed away peacefully on June 5th, 2025. She was born to the late Byrtle Smith and Mary Smith in Anderson, AL. Sadie attended Anderson Elementary School and later transferred to Minor Hill School. She dedicated 38 years of her life working at Giles County Hospital and Hillside Hospital, where she retired. Sadie was a devoted member of St. Andrew Community Church. She was married to the late David Allen Malone for 72 years.
A visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, June 7th, 2025, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 12:00 pm with Bro. Chris Blalock officiating. A private graveside service for the family will follow at Booth Chapel Cemetery in Minor Hill, TN. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Booth Chapel Cemetery c/o Richard Durham 30849 Lester Rd, Lester, AL 35647.
Sadie is survived by her daughter, Donna (Kendal) Hayes of Pulaski, TN, and son, Mike (Sherri) Malone of Murfreesboro, TN. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Amanda (Aaron) Lawson of West VA, Brandon (Ashlee) Malone of Murfreesboro, TN, Elon (Mary) Hayes of Harvest, AL, and Bryan (Jan) Hayes of Birmingham, AL. Additionally, she is survived by 9 great-grandchildren, Zachary (Emily) Hayes, Luke Hayes, Sydney Hayes, Riley Hayes, Elijah Hayes, Aidan Lawson, Abigail Lawson, Carter Malone, and Jackson Malone. Sadie is also survived by her special friend, Marylin Wall, and numerous nieces and nephews.
