In the past week alone, local firefighters have responded to two separate vehicle fires, in addition to one incident involving a lawn tractor.

Once you have safely exited the vehicle, turn off the engine and move at least 100 feet away from the car. It is essential to call 911 for assistance and to avoid opening the hood or re-entering the vehicle to collect personal belongings.
