Sara Eva Wunner Stutts, 90, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at her residence. Sara was a retired seamstress at Kay Windsor and a devoted member of Flatwoods Freewill Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother, cherished by her family. Sara had a deep love for Jesus Christ and spent her time caring for her grandchildren, tending to her garden, and sewing for her family. She was also known for her love of cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Sara was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Orville Stutts, her parents, Anthony Carl Wunner Sr. and Willie Gertrude Chambers Wunner, one great-grandchild, Eli Jerret Flatt, two sisters, Marie Brian and Rosie Wunner, and six brothers, James Wunner, Carl Wunner Jr., Frank Wunner, Joe Wunner, Charlie Wunner, and Bobby Wunner.
She is survived by her son, Roger Stutts, and daughters, Regina Kerstiens and Glenda Stutts, as well as five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sister, Polly Bowden, and sister-in-law, Margaret Wunner.
The family will receive friends at Neal Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with funeral services to follow at Kidd Cemetery at 1:30 PM. Sara’s final resting place will be at Kidd Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Shriners Children’s Hospital, or DAV.
Sara will be dearly missed by all who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
