Schuyler “Sky” Elliott Redpath, 75, of Dellrose, TN, passed away peacefully at home on December 31, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 8, 1949, in Waukegan, IL, Sky was the son of the late Charles and Genevieve Redpath.
Sky led a life of service, dedication, and love for his family. A proud veteran, Sky served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, earning numerous commendations. He was an exceptional athlete in his youth and a successful entrepreneur in the business forms and checking industry.
Sky had a special place in his heart for animals and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sharon Redpath; sons, Schuyler Redpath IV (Katie) and Trevor Redpath; daughter, Genevieve “Jenny” Redpath; and his brother, John Redpath. Sky cherished his role as a grandfather to seven grandchildren.
A family-member-only military funeral honors ceremony will be held at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a bereavement fund set up for Sharon.
Sky will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew him. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
