Scotty Daniel Barnes, 48, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on January 7, 2025, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Scotty was a dedicated employee at Middle TN Christmas Lights and a faithful member of the Christian Faith. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during Operation Iraq Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
Scotty is survived by his loving wife, Susan Barnes; cherished son, Kaleb Barnes; and beloved daughter, Annabelle White (Jake). He is also survived by his father, J. T. Barnes (Debbie); mother, Earlene Barnes; brothers, Jonathan Barnes and Shay Barnes; brother-in-law, John Daughtry (Amanda); two granddaughters; and a large extended family including aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a strong military brotherhood.
The family will receive friends at Neal Funeral Home on January 15, 2025, and funeral services will be held at Neal Funeral Home on January 16, 2025, with interment to follow at Hinestown Cemetery in Summertown, TN with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
